Tammany Trace - Covington Trailhead: A Great Place to Start Your Hike

The Covington Trailhead is excellent for starting your hike on the Tammany Trace. It is located in Covington, LA, and provides parking, restrooms, water fountains, and picnic tables. The Trace is a 31-mile multi-use recreational trail that follows an old railroad bed through St. Tammany Parish from Slidell to Covington. The trailheads are spaced about every three miles apart, so you can choose how far you want. If you're looking for a challenge, try hiking the entire Trace in one day!
